A memorial service is being held at the LA Soccer Club on June 28th at 2:00pm. Please contact Kenny Merchant or Albert Zerhusen for more details.  A web page will be posted soon with more details and condolences from friends.

Well wishes from the lads:

Hi Gary,

I am in shock. I guess I was not prepared to hear such terrible news. I feel like a part of me died. He was taken away from us a few years ago with his illness, but I guess I never thought he would pass on so quickly. Jimmy was a great friend, we grew up together, shared so many great times together, on and off the soccer field.  Its times like these that I wish I could be with you guys to ease some of the pain I am feeling now. He truly was one of a kind.  Again, I can not get over this realization that Jimmy is gone.
Gary, let me know if there is any financial assistance I can provide to ensure that Jimmy has the best service possible.

Your friend,

Essam

Very sad and shocking news. My condolences to the family and everyone.  Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately I will be in England from June 21st to July 21st so I won't be able to attend the memorial service. I liked Jim a lot and very much enjoyed playing with him.   Unbelievable striker of the ball. A real shame. He was a good bloke.

Thanks - Phil Dupont
